Well, it is almost time to get in a jet plane and head to Beijing! As a child I was told to take a somewhat different approach to get to China... to dig a hole in my back yard. The flight will take us almost 20 hours including layover and time in the air. I wonder how long it would have taken to dig the hole? My guess is it would be very close give or take thirty minutes.
At any rate, we are brimming with excitement and anticipation. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and as we begin our mission of sharing the Gospel with our soon to be newly made Chinese friends. Pray that as we use the book of Luke to teach English,we will remember that the Word is the teacher and that we are the illustration.
We will try to update this blog several times throughout the next two weeks and will post pictures, share stories, etc as often as time allows.
Thanks for your love and support,
John, Susan, and Nash Cooper

The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches. -Matthew 13:31-32 (NIV)
